Hi ladies! So I cannot tell you how excited I am to do my first ever StitchFix Fashion Show on my blog! Not only is it my first fashion show, but it’s my first StitchFix styling as well. This month’s StitchFix styling was complimentary and I am so excited to share the contents with you!
Upon first opening the box, I knew it was a good Fix right away because I love the gray and mint colored pieces, they really popped out at me.
How does StitchFix work?
Let me fill you guys in a little bit on how StitchFix works. You make an account on their site. Then you answer questions in your Style Profile so that your stylist can put together a Fix (which is their way of saying a styling) that you’ll love and then they ship it off to you based on how often you want to receive them.
How often can I get a Fix?
You can set a schedule to receive a Fix every 2-3 weeks, every month, every other month, every 3 months or set your own schedule. You also have the option to cancel your order if something comes up and you need to cancel for whatever reason. The styling fee is $20 which includes shipping to your home as well as shipping costs for any items you want to send back.
You can make your Style Profile as detailed as you want. You can tell them specifics colors and/or prints you want to avoid and all kinds of things! There is even an area where you can write a note to your stylist AND you can provide them with your social media handles so they can get an idea of your style online as well.
Onto the event that everyone’s been waiting for!
I received 5 different clothing pieces in my Fix.
The first one is super cute and classy. I love that it is fitted around the waist, which is more slimming. I can see me wearing this on a date, to work, or even a wedding.
Pixley; Millie Textured Knit Dress
This next piece is in one of my favorite colors! I love the fit and style and once again, I can see me being able to wear this in a variety of settings as well as with shorts, jeans or work pants.
Skies are Blue; Landry Eyelet Trim Pullover
Next up are two pieces that I received. I paired these adorable pink skinny jeans with the knitted sweater because it was suggested to me by my lovely stylist Layla and I agree with her that these two things go well together. I do admit that it felt a little like I was reliving my Senior Photo days while we were taking this photo. LOL The sweater was a tad too loose for my liking, but after this first Fix, I played around with my size settings to make sure I get the right fit for myself next time. It’s all a matter of preference and what you feel comfortable wearing.
Sweet Grey; Tulay Crochet Detail Knit Top & Lila Ryan; Liza Colored Skinny Jean
Last but certainly not least is this adorable lace top! I paired this top with a mint green bralette. This top is also super cute for either a date night or girls night out! I love that it’s so breathable! This racerback design has been in for quite some time as well as the lace style. What a unique piece!
Fun2Fun; Mia Crochet Lace Top
So, after I tried everything on to see how it fit and everything, I realized that some of the items were big on me (like I had mentioned earlier, the sizes I picked for myself were a little too big). I ended up choosing to keep the pink lace top above, but I would have kept everything had they all fit me because I loved EVERY piece. Layla did a great job! The pants fit great and the dress fit well except for it was slightly loose at the top. The mint top fit pretty well but I would have preferred it a little tighter. The bonus if you decide to keep all of the pieces is that you get 25% off! That’s on top of the $20 styling fee that they subtract from the total (this gets subtracted from any Fix if you decide to keep an item(s).
I am VERY pleased with my first Fix! I cannot wait to see what my next one looks like and I’ll definitely be posting another StitchFix Fashion Show once I schedule and receive my next Fix.
If you enjoyed checking out these clothes and want to see what SitchFix is all about or want to try StitchFix for yourself (which I highly recommend), go here.
